Demo dataDrill into the underlying assessment
The gap is not an opinion. It comes from specific confidence, frequency, scenario and applied-judgement items.
Every number on the dashboard traces back to a question you can read.

The items behind Adaptive teaching
Every dashboard number traces back to specific assessment items.
- Item 01ConfidenceFeeds → Confidence score
How confident are you in adapting classroom instruction for pupils with different learning needs?
4.1 / 5 averageMost staff rate themselves confident or very confident. - Item 02FrequencyFeeds → Application score
How consistently do you use adaptive strategies in your classroom?
2.6 / 5 averageReported frequency of the practice is markedly lower than stated confidence. - Item 03Scenario judgementFeeds → Capability score
A pupil is struggling to engage with a lesson despite appearing to understand the subject matter. What would you be most likely to do first?
3.0 / 5 averageJudgement responses cluster on plausible but non-adaptive first actions. - Item 04Applied practiceFeeds → Application score
Which approach would you be most likely to use when a pupil with SEND is repeatedly not completing homework?
2.7 / 5 averageApplied choices favour support-seeking over in-lesson adaptation.
Response distributions shown are illustrative sample data for demonstration. Scenario items are scored on judgement quality, not on a single “right” answer.
How the measure separates belief from practice
Confidence → Application
Confidence items are self-reported. Frequency and applied-practice items describe what actually happens in the classroom. The distance between them is the measured gap.
